The Alinari Image Museum, in the Bastione Fiorito of San Giusto Castle, will stage the "Robert Capa in Italy" exhibition, organised and produced jointly by the Fratelli Alinari Foundation for the History of Photography and the National Museum of Hungary, from Saturday 27th May to Sunday 26th November.
Commemorating the great war photographer and reporter Robert Capa, the exhibition recalls the years of World War 2 in Italy, with 35 framed original photographs and another 100 images from the years 1943/4, displayed in the multimedia area of the Alinari Image Museum.
As well as showing original photographs, the Alinari exhibition breaks new ground by presenting a wide selection of digital images, with multimedia and interactive workstations that will make it possible to contextualise Capa, his work and the Italian campaign.
