Now in its 49th year, the Barcolana regatta never ceases to amaze! The event features a festival along the Trieste seafront from the 29th Septembre, numerous sea events leading up to the regatta, the "signore del mare" (historic wooden boats) and monotype regattas, and ends on Sunday the 8th October with the spectacular sight of thousands of boats sailing on the Gulf of Trieste!
But the Barcolana is more than sail boats - it is also music, side events with Barcolana in città, as well as windsurfing and night time regattas.
